Darjeeling is a town in India’s West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It’s famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.

Day 02 Kalimpong – Sightseeing – Gangtok:– This morning after breakfast we shall head for a half day sightseeing to the worth seen places in and around Kalimpong like Dello Hills, Dr. Graham’s Home, Durpin dara Hills, Nature Interpretation Centre, Jang-dong-Palriffo-Brang & Flower Nurseries etc. Rest of the day at leisure .

Day 03 Kalimpong – Gangtok:– After breakfast, you will be transferred to Gangtok. Enjoy the beautiful sceneries on the way! Check into your hotel, refresh and relax. This evening is free to walk around the mall road. Check out the mall in Gangtok. Rest of the day at leisure .

Day 04 Sightseeing (East Sikkim);- This morning after breakfast we shall head for a full day sightseeing to the worth seen places in and around Gangtok like Rumtek Monastery, Research Institure of Tibetology, Droul Chorthen, Flower show, etc.!! The evening is free at your own. Rest of the day at leisure .

Day 05 Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (East Sikkim):- This morning after breakfast we shall head for a half day excursion to three prominent sites – Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. We start driving up above Gangtok through intricate winding road along the mystical environs and reach an enchanting Tsomgo lake after about one and half hours. A lake is nestled amidst high peaks at an altitude of 12,400 ft. On winters, you will be able to witness the lake in a frozen state. After spending about half an hour here, we drive back to a fabled Baba Mandir. This is basically a temple of an army Captain Harbajan Singh who mysteriously vanished from the army camp but later is believed to have turned invisible but absolutely present who still continues his duty as an army officer and protects the border army from any unanticipated events. After this visit we drive back to Gangtok. Check into the hotel refresh and relax. The rest of the day is free to relax for you. You will enjoy this place a lot because of its scenic beauty…and mostly, as you will having your personal car…instead of a sharing basis! You can stop at any point for a photo session!!. Day 06 Gangtok – Darjeeling:- After breakfast, you will be transferred to Darjeeling. Enjoy the beautiful sceneries on the way! Check into your hotel, refresh and relax. This evening is free to walk around the mall road. Check out the mall in Darjeeling… Rest of the day at leisure .

Day 07 Darjeeling Sightseeing & Tiger Hill:- Wake up early this morning, and you will be transferred to TIGER HILL to see the most beautiful sunrise (at 4am approx)! After that, visit Batasia Loope, Ghoom Monastery and return to the hotel! After breakfast, we will take you for a full day sightseeing to Himalayan Zoological Park, Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tea Estate, etc.The evening is free for you and is at leisure!.Rest of the day at leisure .

Day 03 After breakfast start for half day sightseeing covering Jhakri Water Falls, Ranka Monastery, Research of Tibetology(Close on Sunday and Government Holidays). Sikkim Darjeeling Gangtok Tour Itinerary 5 Days

Day 01. IXB to Gangtok (120 kms. 4,5 hrs. approx.): Upon your arrival at Bagdogra Airport, you will have an assisted transfer to Gangtok. Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02. Gangtok sightseeing: After breakfast, proceed for a day trip to Tsomgo Lake. Also known as Changu Lake, this glacial lake is a popular tourist attraction and is located on the road towards the Nathu La pass. The next visit is to Baba Mandir. This shrine is built in the memory of a brave Indian soldier, Harbhajan Singh, who died during the war near the Nathu La Pass. Return to Gangtok. The evening is free for shopping activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Optional tour to Nathula Pass (Alt 14000 Ft.) on China Border can also be arranged (Except Mon, Tue) for Indian Nationals only at an additional cost.

Day 03. Gangtok to Darjeeling (115 kms. 4 hrs. approx.): After breakfast, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok covering Banjhakri Falls, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Center, Flower show, Dro-dul Chorten & Institute of Tibetology. Afternoon drive to Darjeeling (7,100 ft.). On arrival, check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 04. Darjeeling sightseeing: Early morning, leave to view the sunrise at Tiger Hill. This is a major attraction amongst the tourists. After breakfast, visit Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), and Tea garden in the undulating valleys to view the scenic landscape of tea plucking and processing.
Visit Ghoom Monastery & Batasia Loop. Also, visit the Japanese Temple dedicated to Lord Buddha and constructed in 1972. Don’t forget to visit the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center. Afternoon enjoys shopping on your own at the local market like Ghoom Monastery Market, Batasia Loop Market, and Chowk Bazaar. Enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 05. Darjeeling to IXB Airport (80 kms. 3 hrs. approx.): After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Airport to connect the flight to the onward destination.
