Kerala historically known as Keralam, is an Indian state in South India on the Malabar Coast. It was formed on 1 November 1956 following the States Reorganisation Act by combining Malayalam-speaking regions. Spread over 38,863 km2 (15,005 sq mi), it is bordered by Karnataka to the north and northeast, Tamil Nadu to the east and south, and the Lakshadweep Sea to the west. With 33,387,677 inhabitants as per the 2011 Census, Kerala is the thirteenth-largest state by population and is divided into 14 districts with the capital being Thiruvananthapuram. Malayalam is the most widely spoken language and is also the official language of the state.
Day 03: After breakfast do some local sightseeing in Munnar. Visit the Kundale tea plantation, The High Range Club, Top Station, Mattuppetty, Devikulam, Chithirapuram, Marayoor, Pallivasal/Pothamedu, etc Evening free for leisure and shopping in Market.Overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 04: Munnar – Thekkady Drive ( 4 HRS.):- After Breakfast drive from the land of tea plantations into the heart of the spice hills in Thekkady. The rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy a walk through the bustling spice market of Kumily village in Thekkady or you have the option of taking a boat cruise on Lake Periyar which is the best way to locate wildlife in Periyar Sanctuary (boats can be hired directly there).
Day 05: Thekkady – Alleppey: After breakfast proceed for Alleppey , you can enjoy sightseeing points in Alleppey, Enjoy nature with the Arabian Sea in the west and a vast network of Lakes, Lagoons and freshwater rivers criss-crossing it, Alappuzha is a district immense natural beauty. Referred to as the Venice of east by travellers from across the world. This backwater country is home to diverse animal and bird life. By virtue of its proximity to the sea, the town has always enjoyed a unique place in the maritime history of Kerala.
Day 06:Alleppey – Kovalam VIA Trivandrum: After breakfast , Half day sightseeing in Trivandrum including Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Puthen Malika palace, Napier Museum, Sree Chithra Art Gallery, Zoological Gardens, Reptile House, Observatory and Kanakakannu Palace. Relax and have leisure on the Kovalam beach- an internationally renowned beach. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse – sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programs, Catamaran cruising etc. Evening go for an Ayurvedic Massage (optional). Overnight stay at resort.
Day 07: After breakfast proceed for a Local sightseeing of Thiruvananthapuram covering Museum complex, Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Science & Technology museum, Veli Tourist village, Aakulam boat club, Shangmugham Beach. Later back to Kovalam. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 08: Kovalam – Trivandrum Drop : After breakfast we checkout from hotel and proceed for Trivandrum by road. On arrival you will be transferred to the airport/railway station to board the flight/Train back to home. Tour Ends With Happy Memories .
Day 01 : Cochin to Munnar (130 kms / 4 hrs approx)
The tour starts from Cochin and journey leads to further destination which is Munnar. The place Munnar is at the distance of 4 hours and 130 km from Cochin. On the way of Munnar, travellers can see mesmerising beauty of nature and by evening reaches to hotel. Enjoy comfortable time in hotel and stay overnight there.
Day 02: Munnar
The next day will be full of fun and adventure as tourists are offered splendid sightseeing at Munnar. In Munnar sightseeing there are endless things to enjoy like Tea Museum, Tea Gardens, Mattupetty, Devikulam, Eravikulam National Park and so on. Apart of sightseeing, tourists can spend evening by involving into leisure activities in hotel and night will be spent in same hotel.
Day 03: Munnar to Thekkady (110 kms / 3 – 4 hrs approx)
After enjoying surroundings of Munnar, tourists will move to next destination which is Thekkady. It is at 110 km distance and 3.5 hours away. At the hotel in Munnar, you will be served hot breakfast and then you can check out from there. Reaching at Thekkady, you will be accommodated in another hotel there. Same day, you will be set to Thekkady sightseeing in which you can enjoy Periyar boating, visit for Spice Garden, shopping, Kalaripayit & Kadhakali and Elephant Ride. Have full rest in evening and at night in hotel.
Day 04: Thekkady to Alleppey (135 kms / 4 hrs approx)
Allepey is the destination for this day and it is at 135 km away from Thekkady. So, in the morning, after eating breakfast in hotel, you will be departed to Alleppey by check in a house boat. There, you can enjoy exotic Alleppey backwaters and will be offered delicious lunch in pure Kerala style in that house boat. In the evening, you can have pleasant sunset view while enjoying delicious snacks. After having mouth watering dinner at houseboat, your day will come to an end.
Day 05 : Alleppey – Cochin (tour Ends)
After the breakfast, pack your baggage with a promise of come back again to the Gods Own Country. Proceed to Kochi Airport/Railway station on time to board your flight/train with a lot of sweet memories of your holidays.
